Making Counseling Affordable
Cost may be an important factor for you, particularly if you are paying out of your own pocket. We encourage you to ask questions or bring up any concerns you have about the cost of counseling. It is important both that you do not cause yourself undue financial stress by paying for counseling, and also that you feel you are receiving value for your investment.
We reserve a limited number of spaces in our practice for reduced fee clients. When we set up your initial appointment, you can let us know if you are interested in this.
There are other ways to make counseling more affordable for you. Sometimes counseling can be made more affordable by spacing out the frequency of sessions (e.g., every other week instead of every week), or interspersing shorter sessions (e.g., half hour) with longer ones.
Our fees are:

If you intend to use your insurance for therapy and coverage is critically important to you, you should confirm your coverage for my services prior to our second meeting.
Also most insurance companies that provide out-of-network benefits will provide coverage for our services. You are required to pay in full at the time when services are rendered and we can provide you with a monthly invoice to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.
We ask for 24-hour advance notice of cancellation, as we have reserved your time specifically for you. This gives us an opportunity to fill the time, if possible, and to plan our schedule. Sometimes we will be able to offer you a make-up session the same week you cancelled, in which case there is no charge for the cancelled session. The fee for sessions canceled or missed with less than 24 hour notice is the full fee for the session.
